    Sincretismo religioso en América Latina y su impacto en Colombia

    Evangelical Latin American Christianity has different religious backgrounds, so many elements belonging to other cultures and religions have permeated their body of ritual beliefs and practices. Moreover, that Latin American Christianity has been secularized in such a way that it no longer represents an evident counterculture, and rather tends to present a well-to-do gospel, which seeks to be attractive to the multitudes. Our intention is to make a brief analysis of the historical development of that dangerous religious and cultural assimilation that constitutes the syncretism and that threatens the evangelical mission today. O cristianismo evangélico latino-americano tem diferentes origens religiosas, de modo que muitos elementos pertencentes a outras culturas e religiões permearam seu corpo de crenças e práticas rituais. Além disso, o cristianismo latino-americano foi secularizado de tal maneira que deixou de representar uma contracultura evidente e, em vez disso, tende a apresentar um evangelho bem-feito, que busca ser atraente para as multidões. Nossa intenção é fazer uma breve análise do desenvolvimento histórico dessa perigosa assimilação religiosa e cultural que constitui o sincretismo e que ameaça a missão evangélica de hoje.
